REGISTRY OF SANCTIONED EDITIONS
I. THE TWELVE
An edition of
twelve, exactly.
The archive permits no further reproduction. Each unit bears a serialised plate, a curatorial signature, and a written certificate of complicity. Unsanctioned copies are, by definition, fabrications.

Held in private institutional collection. Provenance documented. Withdrawn from circulation, 2026.03.
Berlin, DE
Loaned to Kreuzberg cultural foundation under terms of perpetual exhibition. Plate signed.
Seoul, KR
Acquired through the Bureau's Asian liaison. Currently installed in a residence undisclosed.
Vienna, AT
Granted to a Viennese sound-art archive. Custody contractually permanent.
Shirahama, JP
Held at the Bureau. Inquiries from sanctioned institutions presently considered.
Lisbon, PT
Transferred to a Lisbon design collective. Quoted in the regional press, briefly, regrettably.
Undisclosed
Held in escrow pending acquisition by a private collector who would prefer not to be named.
Copenhagen, DK
Installed in the office of a Scandinavian magazine known for restraint.
Mexico City, MX
Donated to a contemporary art space in Roma Norte. Triggered, on average, fourteen times a day.
Shirahama, JP
Awaiting placement. Plate unsigned. Certificate prepared.
Reykjavík, IS
Resident in a small private library north of the city. Reportedly discomforting.
Institutional
Earmarked for a state-funded archive. Negotiations are ongoing and quietly contentious.
II. PROVENANCE
A document,
a plate, a signature.
The Bureau retains the master ledger. Disputes regarding authenticity are resolved against this ledger and against the ledger alone. Subsequent forgeries are anticipated; their existence is, in some sense, the point.
III. ACQUISITION
Two units presently uncommitted.
Inquiries are weighed against intent.
The archive selects its keepers.
Unsuccessful applicants will not be informed.
